Acer has announced a strategic partnership with Caribbean telecom operator Digicel to bring its midrange smartphones to four new markets: Bermuda, Jamacia and the Turks & Caicos Islands, expanding the company's smartphone sales to over 35 countries in the world, reported Commercial Times on December 3. Digicel is headquartered in Jamacia and has around 13 million subscribers, with branch offices in Australia and New Zealand. Acer's midrange smartphone Liquid E700 features 3 SIM slots for personal and business users. Acer aims to double its smartphone shipments in 2015.
